Our favourite traditional bathroom pieces from the Bayswater Collection

Sinks

The Fitzroy basin set was a firm favourite with the three-hole tap version being the clear winner (more on why later). Our team also decided that they would choose the traditional round basin stand to go with it. When asked why, they signalled out the attention to detail on the stand, including around the feet area, which gave a different dimension when designing a bathroom.

Brassware

The three-hole basin was a winner because it was decided that the three-hole basin mixer with lever taps would be their choice if they were designing their own bathroom. They loved the choice to go with either black or white but also the curves of the design. Curves are a key trend in bathroom interiors as they soften the design of a room and, while subtle, these taps can help to achieve that look.

Baths

The big one! And one that caused a heated debate amongst our team and in the end, we just couldn’t decide, so two make the list of our favourite products.

New for 2021, the painted slipper bath in Stiffkey Blue is one that we’re all excited to see make its way into people’s bathrooms. We’re keeping an eye out for this popping up on Instagram in the near future as well as interior magazines as journalists have been excited by its launch. Colour is big in bathroom design, and the painted option brings a modern twist on the classic design.

We couldn’t make our list of favourites without a classic claw footed bath. It was a tough decision, but in the end, the Leinster won the vote. Our range caters for all types of bathroom situations (and preference of style of bath but we felt a freestanding bath just pipped the others to the (joint) top spot.

Vanity units

Everyone agreed that the stunning 1200mm curved cabinet should be on our list of favourite products as it really is centre piece of any bathroom which is why it is mentioned here. But we also like to add in a practical element to our discussions, and after a slightly heated debate, the 600mm vanity cabinet just beat it to the top spot. The 600mm cabinet will (and does) fit most bathrooms, including cloakrooms, which means that as well as looking stunning, it can also be used by just about any family which is why it makes our list. It is always great to know that our products can be enjoyed by anyone, especially as we see a rival in classic modern bathrooms.
